ILM Accredited Coaching Programmes

Walking with Leaders is accredited by the ILM to run a number of coaching training programmes. The Level 3 programmes are run for organisations in-house, and allow for a certain degree of flexibility in design and delivery. These are also run without ILM accreditation as our Train-the-trainer programme. All these programmes require a portfolio of work to be submitted for external verification by the ILM.

Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers:

Aims to provide practicing and potential team leaders and first line managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as workplace coaches as part of their normal work role. Our programme consists of

• four one-day workshops
• pre-, mid- and post programme 1:1 tutorials
• 12 hours of workplace coaching

Level 3 Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches:

The ILM Level 3 certificate for professional workplace coaches aims to provide practicing or potential team leaders and first line managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as workplace coaches as part of their normal work role (or move into freelance workplace coaching). Our programme consists of

• four one-day workshops
• pre-, mid- and post programme 1:1 tutorials
• plus two further half-day workshops and group supervision
• 30+ hours of workplace coaching

Level 3 Certificate extension:

The Level 3 Certificate can also be taken as an extension to the Award programme through

• two further half-day workshops and group supervision
• additional 1:1 tutorials
• additional 18+ hours of workplace coaching

Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring:

This level 7 qualification in coaching and mentoring aims to provide practicing senior leaders or managers, or those working in a training and development role, with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as coaches or mentors as part of their normal work role. Our programme consists of

• seven one-day workshops
• pre-, mid- and post programme 1:1 tutorials and supervision
• 40+ hours of workplace coaching

Level 7 Diploma for Professional Executive Coaches and Leadership Mentors extension:

The ILM level 7 diploma for professional executive coaches and leadership mentors is aimed at participants who will be significantly involved in executive coaching and/or leadership mentoring, within an organisation or more likely as a freelance coach. The Diploma programme is run as an extension of the Level 7 Certificate and consists of

• three further one-day advanced workshops
• plus additional ad hoc 1:1 tutorial support and supervision
• an additional 80+ hours of workplace coaching

Level 7 Certificate and Diploma in coaching supervision:

Walking with Leaders is also working with the ILM in preparing a Level 7 certificate and diploma in coaching supervision which will be available from 2010.
