The Possibility Horizon
The problem with organisational change is that nothing really changes
- in the final analysis, people are still the same individuals,
just faced with yet another set of 'difficult' circumstances. So
what's the answer to sustaining organisational success?
In future, the critical focus for sustainable organisational success
will build on what the organisation knows about itself and its environment,
and not on transient structure and detailed processes. We believe
that the successful organisations of the future won't be managing
change but rather facilitating conversations for organisational
learning and individual responsibility. This will require a different
set of organisational and individual competencies.
We propose our 3P Model as a framework within which organisations,
teams and individuals can engage in a continuous loop of learning
to sustain agility and organisational transformation. In this first
article, we focus mainly on organisational issues.
