Who we are

Margaret Lloyd

Margaret has a background in public service, initially in teaching and then in various senior roles in the Inland Revenue. She managed a regional office with over 200 staff where she faced a number of leadership challenges around personnel, budget and continuous change. In head office she led a major programme of quality assurance and was ultimately responsible for all national tax investigation work carried out in local offices across the UK and NI. In her final role she was responsible for a major programme of organisational change in central policy areas reporting directly to the Board of the Inland Revenue. During her last years at the Revenue she became a qualified executive coach and coached senior directors.

In 2001 Margaret delivered the John Loxham Memorial Lecture at the Institute of Quality Assurance to great acclaim and chaired the Leadership Forum at the European Quality 2002 Conference. Margaret is also former Chair of Trustees of the Directory of Social Change. Margaret published "Leadership 101" with Brian Rothwell in 2007 and lectures widely on coaching and leadership issues.

Sheridan Magurie

Sheridan has a background in publishing, managing the promotion and marketing of educational and reference titles for major publishers including Longman, and then as Marketing Manager for Heinemann/Collins. Sheridan went on to become Director of Publishing for the Work Foundation and during this time he developed the publications division into an award-winning multimedia business providing training, reference and learning materials. Sheridan led one of five catalytic projects in a process of organisational transformation, and was one of the key players in keeping the transformational process alive. During this time Sheridan joined the School of Coaching as a Faculty coach and later became programme leader.

Sheridan published "Core Coaching" in 2008 and lectures widely on coaching and leadership issues.

What's different about Walking with Leaders
We work mainly with very senior people, Chief Executives, Directors and their teams. We often find that senior people have the skills to lead their organisations but sometimes lack time to think about their particular big issues.
Code of ethics
We adhere to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council Code of Ethics .
